SnapDash is an iPhone app that turns your phone’s camera into a fun activity to be played with others.
SnapDash works by giving users the choice of several categories, all of which generate a random idea of how to pose in the picture. The app then begins counting down a timer of either 3, 6, or 9 seconds, giving you or your friends a short amount of time to pose in whatever the position the “Snaption” called for. When you’re done, the app makes it easy to send out the photograph and share it with others via a variety of existing platforms. Sharing your SnapDash images on Twitter or Instagram is easy, and it instantly makes your photos unique compared to others on your timeline (even if they’re using SnapDash as well, because everyone’s reaction to the Snaption is bound to be different).
The “Snaptions” included on SnapDash range from ideas like “You’re watching the world’s first 3-D movie” to “The bottom half of your body is in an alligator’s mouth!” These prompts are primarily humorous, and all of them inspire some form of creativity. The app is extremely fun to use both by yourself and with others, and even more fun to share the creations you come up with after being given such a short amount of time to react to the Snaption. If you’ve ever been instructed to take a “goofy photo” after taking a serious one, this app takes that idea to a new level. If you have an iPhone, it’s definitely worth a download.
