Based on your mood, social interests, and the time of day, 5by will provide you with a fitting video. The app was recently acquired by StumbleUpon, and that decision makes sense. The experience using 5by is equivalent to StumbleUpon for videos, as the app allows you to easily discover awesome content while tailoring future results to your own preferences and taste.
Like Live TV, but Better.5by is available on both iOS and Android across multiple devices, and its services are free. While popular online video streaming platforms such as YouTube have a wide variety of streaming options, it can often be difficult to sift through the noise to find something great. 5by makes the effort to find great content so that you don’t have to. When you set up an account with 5by, the app asks you a few questions about your lifestyle and your preferences to get to know you better. It then asks you more specific questions relating to your current mood and how much time you have to watch videos. When you’re done, the videos start and never stop coming. There’s also the ability to skip a video if you really don’t like what you’re watching. The more you use 5by, the better your results will be, but the results are pretty great to start.
