Dayzipping One day at a Time: 24hrs in San Francisco, NYC, Vegas

Dayzipping is a new site that lets you find and share the best day trips in Las Vegas, New York, San Francisco and the most interesting cities in the States and around the world.

“I shouldn’t be near Vegas and have money in my pocket.”, stated the comedian Adam Sandler. And who can say otherwise? Vegas has gained its fame thanks to the Casinos, the all-night-long parties and “The Hangover”, a movie that makes it irresistible to spend a day in that hot deserted weather. But even the “Sin City” has a lot to offer besides from its ‘dark side’: the exploration of Mt. Charleston, a visit to the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat or an evening at Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Do you find it difficult to see beyond the miles of endless high-rise buildings? Then check out DayZipping to find and share the day trips you never knew you could take in cities just like this.

“What shall I do today?”

“Frightened by the thought of exhaustive week-long itineraries” a group of self-christened conquistadors founded DayZipping.com as a way to provide an easy way to take vacations one day at a time. The aim of the site is double: on the one hand,  turning your own city exploration into a more exciting experience; on the other, providing access to an “ever-expanding library of trips in places that life may take you. It already counts with a growing collection of nearly 1,000 trips span 48 states and over a dozen countries. Most of the options are either from the United States or Europe (unfortunately Panama is the only Latin American option and Shanghai the only Asian one) but you can tell that the editors are working hard to keep the web updated, complete and interesting. Once you choose your destination, you will find all the information necessary to get away for a day!

As the very smart Charles Schulz once said: “Life is like an ice-cream cone, you have to lick it one day at a time.” And I can’t think of any better way to lick it than travelling. Taste it!
