Doodle Flix – In a similar way that the Academy voters when choosing the Oscar winners this year will be talking about ‘The Artist’ as a loving homage to a film genre long since obsolete (see it by the way if you haven’t already, it’s brilliant!)… Doodle Flix could be seen in the not-so-distant future as a loving homage to the way we used to receive films with Netflix through the post, in that iconic red envelope! “Fancy that, recieving films through the post, and on disks!”, our children – who will have grown up streaming absolutely everything – will exclaim.
And that’s basically all this tumblr blog is: a collection of red Netflix envelopes that budding artists have drawn all over, brought to you by the doodle addicts at ‘Doodlers Anonymous’. But don’t let that put you off, because many of the drawings are really cool depictions of the films the envelopes contained. And if you fancy yourself as a budding doodler, you can also submit your drawn Netflix envelope by clicking on the ‘submit’ button at the top of the blog!
