Rain, Rain, don’t go away, stay here for another day! Raining.fm is a simple website that continuously plays the sounds of rain to help you concentrate or relax. But does it really work?
If you love the sound of rain (I guess some people do!), then you will love raining.fm. Its simple, clean, one-page interface is made for anyone who needs soothing sounds to relax or fall asleep to, or who needs to block out noise and distraction while studying or at work.
And having tested it while doing my blogging for you guys, I can confirm that it really does work: the sounds of the All My Faves team battling each other at Wii Sports were soothingly drowned out for the entire day (and trust me, that’s not an easy feat!).
Now you may have tried a vain Google search for some kind of rain soundtrack to relax you or help you concentrate in the past. Raining.fm ‘chief rainmaker’ (ie. its creator) Neil certainly did, and he (and probably you too) couldn’t find anything that really worked.
“I either didn’t like the audio samples, they didn’t truly loop and would have a jarring end and beginning, or they were just plain ugly and filled with unsightly ads”, the “rain-trepreneur” told us. Neil’s solution is to make a one page solution that’s easy on the eye, easy to control and mix with additional sounds like thunder, and has a sleep timer that fades the rain sounds out while you fall asleep.
Raining.fm really is worth trying to see if it works for you. Its clear that creator Neil really does love the sound of rain, and thanks to his efforts, maybe you will too! Click here to immerse yourself in the soothing sounds of raining fm.
