One Track Mind – Finding music blogs that offer inspiring new tracks, engaging posts on emerging artists and high quality audio is rather utopian these days. But then came One Track Mind, a divine music gift for all of us here on earth, and shuffled all the cards of music discovery online. Produced by Danny de Zayas, One Track Mind is a music blog that introduces one new song every day, and each such entry is open for discussion and rating by the user community.
Get this: each new song is available for completely legitimate download. How did Danny make this possible? He explains in the About section: “This site receives no financial or other remunerative considerations for featuring these songs or for posting the accompanying commentary. All tracks are legal, freely distributable MP3s provided by record labels and promotion firms.” In other words, One Track Mind offers a neutral, equal opportunity platform for new and non-mainstream artists. You can browse tracks by genre (electronic, indie, soul, etc.), hit the random track tab, or check out the Monthly Rewinds and Sunday Samplers, among others.
