Learnist: Be A Know-It-All

Learnist is a website that allows users to post on various topics and allows readers to learn about any topic they want. They brag that “you can learn just about anything via Learnist”, and it’s true!

Share What You Know or Find What You Don’t!

Have you ever wanted to learn about Art & Design? Technology? Politics? Health & Fitness? Learnist is an online community that allows users to share their knowledge. It provides a way for you to show the world what you think and know about a certain topic by curating a list of articles you have read to gain that knowledge and arranging the list of links on a ‘board’ in a way that is easy for the readers to read and follow. It’s also a great way to learn something new from people who consider themselves knowledgeable on the topic. Learnist realizes that we live in a time when people want to find things out immediately and easily, so it allows readers to get a surface level understanding of the topic just by reading the article titles. There is also an app that allows users to access the community from their tablet or smart phone.

A Wealth of Information

Because Learnist has 19 different broad topics and countless subtopics and tags, there is A LOT of information on the website. Users are able to find posts by following these certain topics and tags, following specific users, comment on the boards, or browse the “new” and “popular” tabs rather than searching for a specific topic. In just the short amount of time I was browsing the “Health & Fitness” category, I found countless articles on eating better, working out more efficiently, and new workouts to try. These articles are coming from fitness magazines, business magazines, doctor magazines, and even newspapers like the New York Times. I am always looking for fun new workouts and little diet and exercise tips, and this website compiles them all into one category. I already learned so much, and I know my trainers (current and past) will be happy for the break from my “can you send me a new workout?” texts!
