Exploring places around the world through Google Street View is always an easy way to get lost in the Internet, but exploring one of the Seven Wonders of the World is fascinating. Google Street View: Petra is going to be one of your newest obsessions. Over 2,000 years ago the Nabataeans created Petra, the city of stone and it also called the Rose-Red City. Google Street View: Petra takes explorers on a behind the scenes tour of Petra, featuring movies and stories describing one of the wonders of the world that’s been forgotten by time. Normally with Google Street View, you can just go in a circle of sorts and see what’s around a specific address. With the Petra project, click on one of the dots and learn something new. The format is a story that takes you through all of Petra. There is a map on the side to that shows where you are in significance to all of Petra. Petra is an incredible place to explore, so even if you can’t get there in person, do it through Google Street View: Petra.
