Best Sites of 2009 – You Voted, They Won

Best Sites of 2009 – The Best Sites of 2009 awards on All My Faves was a first for us this year, and boy, it was an exciting ride. In contrast to previous years of ‘Best of’ Weekly Faves picks, this year we decided to invest our users with the selection power. How did we do it? During the month of November the All My Faves team revisited all the Weekly Faves that were featured on the website throughout the year – that’s over 500 websites. Following a seemingly scrutinizing selection process, we narrowed it down to the 40 top faves. Next, we asked you, the users, to vote for your top five websites listed, and for over two weeks you made some tough choices which were processed and re-processed on a daily basis.

We closed the ballots on December 27th, and the ten winners were announced the following day. Among the ten champions, 1001 Rules For My Unborn Son scored the highest number of votes, and the two runner-ups are People of Walmart and Newsy (determined by number of votes, respectively). See the complete list of kings and queens below, and explore the gems 2009 has brought to us.

I would like to take this opportunity and give a huge Thank You shout out to all of our devoted users and to anyone who joined in and took part in this thrilling vote. And if you have a website in mind you feel is a great Weekly Faves candidate, let us know!

  • I have observed that clever real estate agents everywhere you go are starting to warm up to FSBO Marketing. They are recognizing that it's not only placing a sign post in the front yard. It's really in relation to building human relationships with these dealers who at some time will become buyers. So, after you give your time and effort to supporting these sellers go it alone : the "Law regarding Reciprocity" kicks in. Interesting blog post.
