Evergig: Every concert, At Your Fingertips.

Evergig compiles fan-shot videos of concerts to recreate the live music experience for those watching from home.

High Quality, Multi-Angle Concert Videos

It’s tough to go to a concert without seeing a sea of glowing cell phone lights throughout the audience. Sometimes fans are bored and texting during a song, but most of the time they’re trying to capture a picture or a video so that they can revisit the show later. While artists like Jack White have fought against the practice of fans recording concerts rather than truly experiencing them, Evergig has embraced it. The site has compiled tons of high quality videos taken from the crowd at various concerts in order to recreate the concert-going experience online. All of this content is available on Evergig for free, so fans can relive their enjoyment of a particular concert or individuals can watch a show they’d otherwise have been unable to attend.

Videos Made by Music Fans, for Music Fans

The concept of Evergig is similar to Concert Window in that it allows fans to enjoy live music without ever having to leave the computer. Concert Window, however, is somewhat limited by the fact that artists have to upload their own shows themselves. While that allows fans to discover great new musicians, the bands and artists on Evergig are mostly well-known already (and because they’re well-known, that means more people have taken videos from multiple angles at their shows). Artists such as Coldplay, Wiz Khalifa, Dave Matthews Band, and Gorillaz have shows hosted on the platform. There’s also a search bar if you’re looking for a particular group. Each concert is displayed in a nice-looking full-screen format, and there’s the ability to skip through songs at the viewer’s convenience. Although sites like Concert Window and Evergig have yet to fully replace the live music experience, they do offer a great service for those that want to catch some shows from the comfort of their own homes.
