Epoch combines touch screen elements with intelligent video algorithms to bring you a seamless entertainment experience.
Epoch leads you through videos curated based on your preferences. Don’t like the current video? Swipe left to see the next video in the queue. Or, if you want to rewatch something you previously viewed, swipe back. Epoch will even keep your place if you don’t finish a video before switching. Not only can you go back and forward, by swiping up or down you change “channels”, or video categories. But don’t worry about your ADD getting in the way here either; even if you change channels you can still return to previous channels, and even return to the exact same place in previous videos! It’s like having dozens of screens to choose from with their own remote controls (or “clickers”, in my house).
Epoch strikes me as the perfect app for bus or train commuters. Just during my “research” for this blog, in the “smart” channel I learned about polyglots, the relative success of humans on planet earth, and common misquotations (gotta love John Green). Could this be the future of mainstream TV? If not, then something close to it.
