The Google World Wonders Project brings world heritage sites to your computer.Google’s World Wonder Project: Browse through the world’s wonders in a way only Google can provide you with, from Google’s Street View tech to 3D modelings… Its official, there is no real reason to get out of you living room any more.
Upon entering Google’s World Wonders Project you can choose the heritage you wish to explore from the world map. Once you chose you can explore it with Google’s Street View, read info, watch YouTube tutorials and even 3D models of the structures. This project offers an innovative way to teach history and geography to students all over the world.
Google actually created classroom material for primary and secondary school based on this project that history and geography teachers can download free of charge. It includes suggestions of lesson plans, student work sheets and presentations.
Making a long story short, we will let the pictures do the talking, go and explore!
