Coming in just shy of #1 on our list is Banff, Alberta. Banff offers incredible skiing during the winter, but the best time to ski here is spring. Temperatures can reach the high 50s and even low 60s on the best of days, making for comfortable skiing weather. At the base of the mountains lies Banff Avenue, the “main street” of this resort town. Banff Avenue contains boutiques, bed and breakfasts and hundreds of small restaurants. Now Banff may be fun during the winter, but its true beauty isn’t revealed until late spring and early summer. Lying at the base of the towering moraines are crystal clear glacial lakes. These gorgeous lakes make for a postcard perfect view.
