3. Hawaii
Due to a combination of its accessibility, beauty, and safety, the Hawaiian Islands make their way into the #3 spot. Whether it is your honeymoon, or a family vacation, these islands will make for a perfect getaway. Upon arrival you may feel like you are in a far-away exotic volcanic island, and for good reason, Jurassic Park was filmed here! But don’t worry; you are actually still on American soil. Because these islands are basaltic, (created by a viscous type of lava), they contain a phenomenon known as a black sand beach. The contrast of the black sand on the blue sky makes for a unique view.
