Rover offers an online alternative to traditional dog boarding. The site connects dog owners with local, insured and trusted dog sitters that will provide your dogs with real homes, in cities across the US.
Rover.com helps you find a real home for your dog to stay while you travel. Founded on the belief that dogs deserve to stay in safe, loving homes while their owners travel, this site is building a community of dog-lovers to fulfill that vision. Rover is enabling a cage-free experience for dogs, at a more affordable price for their humans than traditional options for boarding a dog, and taking the guilt out of the decision to leave your best friend at home while you’re Vacationing. Once you have chosen a host, you are encouraged to schedule an in-person ‘meet and greet’ to introduce your dog and see the home.
The process is very simple; you create a Rover profile for your dog(s), uploading photos and include a colorful description to help sitters get to know your dog, then you navigate to the Search box and enter your dates.
You can either choose a sitter who will come to your home, or a sitter who will watch your dog at their home. Then you further refine your results by reading sitter’s reviews, filtering by price, and zooming in and out on the map to search within a radius. Then you connect with your sitter using the “Reservation Inquiry” button on your sitter’s profile and schedule a meeting between your sitter and your pooch. Now after your done taking care of your best friend you can concentrate on having guilt free fun.
