FIFA’s Official Guide to Everything World Cup
The 2014 FIFA World Cup kicked off in Brazil on Thursday, and it will continue through July 13.
A Valuable Resource for Those in Brazil and Those Watching from Afar
All of the 2014 World Cup match times and locations can be viewed on FIFA’s site, as well as live updates of scores as games are going on. FIFA even has a “Live Blog” section for each game, providing live updates of the game’s major (and minor) events as they occur on the pitch. The site also clearly displays the various groups of the tournament, making it easier to keep track of which teams will be playing each other (this section is also a reminder that the United States likely has no chance of making it out of the group stage with Germany, Portugal and Ghana as its opponents). The site also includes comprehensive information about Brazil — where to stay, what to do, and how to get from stadium to stadium — as well as a “World Cup Timeline” that details past tournaments. If you’re at all interested in the World Cup this year, there’s a good chance you’ll find something useful on the site FIFA has created.
