ResearchGate: A Social Network for Scientists & Researchers

ResearchGate is a network dedicated to science and research where scientists can connect, collaborate and discover scientific publications, jobs and conferences.

Built by Scientists, For Scientists!

Science is a global calling for all mankind. Collaborating with  a friend or colleague on the other side of the world is not an easy task though… ResearchGate was created to deal with this issue, it’s a social network that targets scientists and researchers only. It strives to connect scientists from around the world and help them collaborate toward a common goal; taking our scientific evolution into the next level. The ResearchGate’s team made it their mission to give science back to the people who make it happen and to help researchers build reputation and accelerate scientific progress. On their terms.

A Growing Scientific Community!

ResearchGate was founded in 2008 by physicians Dr. Ijad Madisch and Dr. Sören Hofmayer, and computer scientist Horst Fickenscher. Five years later, more than 3 million researchers are already using it to present themselves and make their research visible. On the platform they built scientists can share publications, access millions more, and publish their data. They can connect and collaborate with colleagues, peers, co-authors, and specialists in their field easily, get stats about views, downloads, and citations of your research, ask questions, and find solutions to research problems. ResearchGate also created the RG Score which presents scientists with a new way to build, understand, and measure their scientific reputation. Based on the RG score, one can have a head start while applying for a research job (which you can find on the site’s job board as well…) It is probably the best social network for any scientist out there. If you are a striving scientist, give ResearchGate a try, check your RG score, and let the world recognize your contribution to its evolution.
