Indego Africa is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide female artisans in Rwanda with the tools and support necessary to allow them to become successful independent businesswomen. There is a huge variety of products hosted on Indego Africa.The site carries out its mission by partnering with Rwandan artisans to sell their handcrafted product through Indego Africa’s own e-commerce site. 100% of the profits made from products hosted on the site are returned to the Rwandan community, used to fund education and employment training programs for the women who created the products. The artisans that work with Indego Africa come from a variety of the country’s many cooperatives. The organization works with a total of 18 different artisan groups, employing more than 600 women who support more than 2,200 children and other dependents.
