Anchor of Hope sells subscription boxes featuring items made by refugees and survivors of human trafficking.
Made by Refugees
With a devastating civil war taking place in Syria — and several other similar civil wars taking place throughout the world — refugees have been in the news far too often lately. Every nation has created its own response to the ongoing refugee crisis, which seems to show no sign of slowing down. Though the issue is easily politicized, Anchor of Hope is a company that’s just trying to do some good with the situation. The company gives artisan refugees the chance to sell their products through a subscription box of goods, delivered to your door monthly. The artisans working with Anchor of Hope come from all over, given a chance to start over after escaping an unfortunate situation.
An Easy Yet Powerful Way to Give Back
Subscribing to Anchor of Hope box is a unique way to help people start rebuilding their new lives in a new land. There’s something new in the box each time, along with detailed stories about the artisan refugee women, men, and children that made them. In a given month, Anchor of Hope subscribers could receive jewelry, home goods, artwork, or even soaps or spices. There are typically 2-4 items in each box, which may not sound like a lot, but allows Anchor of Hope to give all the proceeds to the artists attempting to rebuild their lives. Boxes ship on the 15th of each month.
