VII is a collective founded in 2001 by a handful of the world’s best photojournalists. Their site, VIIphoto.com, is an online platform designed to display their greatest work. The site currently contains over 60,000 photographs from over 20 incredibly talented photographers. Many of the images included on the site were originally published by prominent publications from around the world such as Time Magazine, National Geographic, GEO Germany and Paris Match. The images hosted on VII’s site have also been included in museums, documentaries, and books. VII is truly one of the most prestigious communities of photojournalists, and the quality of the work hosted on their website demonstrates their impressive abilities.

Each VII photographer has a stunning gallery of original photos hosted on the website. Oslo-based photographer Marcus Bleasdale, for instance, has a gallery dedicated to Agropreneurship, or the investment in farms designed to help boost the middle class of African countries such as Kenya and Zamibia, as well as countries such as Guatemala. Each VII gallery is accompanied by a description of the images depicted, and each gallery highlights an economic or social issue in a specific location. One of Bleasdale’s most striking galleries is his depiction of soldiers, including young children, in the eastern Congo.
