Thankfully, Bop.fm delivers on their promise. The site aggregates a huge variety of music sources — including Spotify, Rdio, YouTube and Soundcloud — into its own, centralized music service. Anyone using Bop.fm can truly play any song that is hosted on any service and share it with any friend. Even if users do not have a Spotify account, for instance, they can still listen to a song hosted on Spotify using Bop.fm. Although the site does not actually host any of its own music, it makes it incredibly easy to search for, browse, discover and share the rest of the music from around the web.

Bop.fm erases the need to switch between multiple accounts to listen to all of your music. Each song plays in Bop.fm’s well-designed music player, regardless of whether it was originally hosted on YouTube or on Spotify. If the song has an accompanying YouTube or Vevo video, a Bop.fm-designed video player accompanies it. Searching for artists or browsing popular albums on the site is easy, but there’s also a radio feature on the site that helps you discover music from around the web. A random test of the radio feature brought back strong, popular results such as Lorde and “Pompeii” by Bastille. While Bop.fm doesn’t offer every song or album by every artist quite yet, it has compiled an extensive collection of music.
