And now for something completely different.
Androp Bell is an interactive music video game, created in honor of a Japanese band called Androp’s new single, “Bell”. And folks, it’s cool. Very, very cool. Below is a picture from the music video I played through. You can make your own here. Seriously, I don’t think I’d be exaggerating by calling this the music video of the year…
The music (albeit in Japanese) goes so well with the story. And the story is bizarrely alluring. You take control of an adventurous giraffe, taking a message from you to a friend, via a perilous journey across a land and sea dominated by huge monsters. The only slight downer was that the message I wrote, when it did finally arrive on the screen at the end of the song, was all jumbled up, and certainly not in English. But then I guess the fact that it’s meant to be in Japanese means we can forgive that!
