Journey Through Middle Earth allows you to get a 3-D experience of your favorite scenes from the new film, The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug.
As if you needed another reason to be excited for the second installment of The Hobbit trilogy. Start your Journey Through Middle Earth by choosing your destination in Middle Earth on what looks like a zoomed-out display of Google Maps. Float your way through Rivendell or sneak around the ruins of Dol Guldur. 
See the places you’ve imagined a hundred times, but now with a new protagonist. Each area has a different format for exploration that gives you partial control of your direction. Gandalf recites background information in his rumbling narration voice. Ethereal and moody string music follows you throughout your tour. It’s all a delightful tease. You can’t fully dive into the fantasy world of Middle Earth, but at least you can dip your toes.
