Curious – It’s Time to Learn Something

Join Curious for free online video lessons, how-to DIY projects, and community. Find or become a student in baking, photography, math, and more! It’s the perfect place for all things learning, teaching, and making new friends. Similar to Ted Talks, Curious is beautifully presented and can help you learn better.

Are You Curious About Curious?

At Curious they believe in lifelong learning. Learning for its own sake. Learning that happens beyond classrooms, and not only in academic subjects (unless you count beer brewing, pipe soldering, and organic gardening as academic). Learning as a necessity of living. At Curious they also believe great teachers are as valuable to society as great business leaders or academic thinkers. Have you ever wondered why there are hundreds of high-tech ways to share silly photos, and military-grade technology can help us find our friends at a bar, but teachers have few quality tools to help them succeed online. Like some, Curious believes teachers are some of society’s greatest entrepreneurs and should be treated as such. Now although videos of cats dancing the Macarena, and super-slo-mo exploding watermelons are really cool, it’s not the kind of online learning Curious is talking about. But the most important thing that this amazing service can teach is to always stay curious.

Online Learning, The Perfect Classroom

Curious’ mission is to connect the world’s teachers with its lifelong learners. Curious believes in five main principles (in order): “We love employing people, and creating an excellent work environment. We strive to build beautifully simple products that are powerful and constantly improving. Our customers, our community and our shareholders”. The site itself is quite simple to navigate around, with three main tabs; Learn, Teach, and Share. In the ‘Learn’ tab, users are presented with 8 different categories of lessons ranging from ‘Smarty Pants’, to D.I.Y. It’s all about the videos with Curious. Everything you will learn on Curious is via video. Even from using it for one day I can already tell that I have learned many new useful things about many different topics. It’s a useful tool that should be used by many around the world. Start learning in a brand new way with Curious. Check it out here!
