Lifesaver is a British Resuscitation Council’s site that teach basic emergency life-saving skills so that you will know what to do in life and death situations.
Lifesaver is one of those sites that make us remember why we love the internet and reevaluate the added value it can provide us. This blessed project was created by the British Resuscitation Council and it allows you to learn emergency life-saving skills that will help you make lifesaving decisions in a crisis. Lifesaver is an interactive movie you play like a game: it throws you into three situations where people are choking, and having cardiac arrests – make the right choices to save a life. You learn by doing: Do it wrong, and see the consequences. Do it right, and sense the thrill of saving a life!
You must note that Lifesaver is a web and mobile-based interactive application for training purposes only that abides exclusively by the UK resuscitation guidelines. Completion of the modules does not constitute a certificate of competence as further training is recommended. As a parent I know I would like to know how to react in case of an emergency and though this site gave me a great head-start, I feel that I must further my knowledge in this field. Going through the tutorials on this site is an absolute must, make sure you do so!
