Diet Bet is an amazingly innovative website that provides motivation to people who are looking to lose a little bit of weight.
According to recent studies, 45 million Americans attempt some type of diet every year. Despite this huge percentage, two thirds of Americans are overweight or obese. Diet Bet turns the frustrating and often futile exercise known as dieting into a fun and rewarding (both physically and financially) social game. Here’s how it works. Dieters are prompted to enter a diet game or to create there own with friends. After submitting somewhere between $10 and $999, simply submit a picture of yourself on a scale (only the referees will see it) and let the games begin. Depending on the game you chose, your goal is to either lose 4% of your body weight in 4 weeks or 10% in 6 months. Everyone in the game who completes the challenge will collect their share in the pot. It’s fun, motivational and best of all, it will help you get healthier.
