Preview Google’s New Visual Language
Material Interaction is a site offering several different interactive experiences that use Google’s visual language Material Design.
A Consistent, Colorful Design Style
It can be difficult to figure out what’s going on on the Material Interaction site, but that’s because there’s not much in terms of traditional games or entertainment. The site was essentially created as a way to show off Material Design’s capabilities and the possibilities of designers implementing the language into their tool set. One project, for instance, instructs users to click on a large circle that separates into additional, smaller circles with each subsequent click. Another project simply allows users to resize a white box as another circle bounces around it. The fluidity of these web pages show promise for more practical designs in the future, and for now this site is an exciting way to preview the way the language works and can be used.
