You’re Getting Old! is a fun website that calculates and reports interesting stats relating to a person’s specific age.
Let’s face it. Whether we like it or not, each second that passes, we are getting older. Luckily, the web app You’re Getting Old! found a super fun and interesting way to deliver this somewhat depressing news. After entering your birth date, You’re Getting Old! calculates your age in terms of everything from breaths and heartbeats to numbers of candles on your birthday cakes. It also references historical events throughout your lifetime, and your age as a sum of celebrity childrens’ ages, both succeeding to make you feel OLD. Along with many other features, the website also exhibits a slightly morbid pie chart of how many people born the same day as you are currently alive versus dead.
In case finding my first gray hair this year wasn’t enough, You’re Getting Old! let me know that the moon has orbited 256 times since I was born, and that I am 5 times the age of James Cameron’s daughter, Florence. Despite these alarming facts, the website also reminded me to be appreciative and live life to the fullest. So instead of stressing about getting older, why not have fun with it? Check out You’re Getting Old! to shed light on how old you really are, and be sure to share it with your friends and family.
