This weeks free online game, Karting Super Go, is a quick, fun flash game that is making me all nostalgic for my Mario Kart Days.
A cartoon racing game, it’s incredibly similar to Mario Kart (even using the exact same soundbites) only instead of Mario characters, in Karting Super Go you get pirates, robots, zombies and more! The controls, levels, and AI are all easy enough that you can jump right in without a tutorial. Simply use the arrow keys to navigate, and the “X” to activate your turbo.
More than just a single race, there are three races per league, and three leagues to race in! Banana, Donut, and Haddock (beginner, pro, expert). As you race you earn coins for finishing at the top, which can be spent to purchase upgrades to your vehicle. If you enable cookies, these coins and upgrades save, so you can keep coming back until your kart is unstoppable.
But I’m bored now..No you’re not! Because there’s a ton of new levels and characters to unlock. It’s not enough to just race, you got to win to keep it interesting. In the words of Ricky Bobby, “If you ain’t first, you’re last.” Check it out on your next coffee break.
