Roozt: Sexy Social Action

Roozt allows you to shop for all the items you love, while supporting the cause you’re most passionate about. As a renowned scholar once said, “Having money’s not everything, not having it, is.”

Do Something with your Beliefs!

Roozt provides an easy way to not only feel good about yourself, but actually make an impact. According to Roozt principles, capitalism and community service are not oil and water. With the right incentives, shoppers can get their fashion fix while contributing to worthy causes around the world. Just by signing up (for free), Roozt will provide a meal to an American family in need. It’s hard not to give back on Roozt’s website; almost every click (at least, indirectly) contributes to a cause.

“Get Change for your Dollar”

First you select from a list of causes (I chose education advancement). For each cause, Roozt provides a meaningful incentive to go along with your purchases. So now every time I make a purchase, Roozt provides 14 days of education for a child who can’t otherwise afford it. You select from socially conscious brands with their own methods of reinvesting your purchases. On Roozt your ‘shopping cart’ is renamed a “movement” where other people can see the items you’ve curated. If they purchase something from your movement, part of their purchase price also goes to your cause. For those of us who are naturally allergic to retail, this system takes the emphasis off prices and sales psychology. Roozt refocuses your frame of mind to encompass those less fortunate.
