The site pits architects against each other in (friendly) competition in order to create a winning design for your project. The site makes it easy for you to describe your project needs in detail, from dimensions to images to payment for design. Designers then access this information and decide whether or not they want to submit a design for your project. If they choose to do so, they will enter a competition with another group of designers (any designer that uses the site and believes they can come up with something for your project is allowed to join). All of the architects submit their designs by a deadline of your choosing, and you select the best three of the bunch. Those three then split the award of your choosing, with the first prize winner taking 60%, the second taking 30% and the third 10%.

The site draws from talented professionals from around the world, all of whom want to impress you with their designs. There is a public message board implemented on the site that makes it easy for designers to ask you specific question about your project’s details to ensure that you receive the designs that you need. Once the competition is over and the winners have been chosen, Arcbazar asks both the client and the designer whether they would like to continue with each other. If so, then both parties can continue working together until successful completion of the project. Otherwise, you get to keep all of the design work.
