No Images, No Videos, No Text. Only Sounds
Sound production company Croacia Audio decided to create their website in a way that actually demonstrates the power of its audio production tools.
Navigate the Site with Your Voice
The way the site works is that your voice gives commands to determine what sounds you hear. The pre-programmed voice that greets you when you arrive to the site continues to guide you through various menus. During an initial test, for example, you can say “drums” and Croacia Audio will immediately begin playing drum sounds. If you say “guitar,” the same is true for guitar. The site is incredibly responsive to specific commands, allowing you to trigger example sounds without touching your mouse or keyboard. Unfortunately, like many products with voice-control capabilities, the technology isn’t advanced enough for it to be a seamless experience. The site is limited to its programmed choices the same way iOS’s Siri or the Xbox Kinect is limited by a certain set of specific commands. You can’t really talk to the site, only use your voice to navigate through it. It’s an interesting concept that’s fun to see in action, but it ultimately left me wanting the freedom of being able to click around at my own convenience. Still, I commend Croacia Audio for creating such a unique site that demonstrates their professional sound skills.
