Spreading Awareness about Domestic Violence

No More is a unified campaign backed by major organizations that are dedicated to putting an end to domestic violence and sexual assault. Its site has launched its campaign at all levels — asking users to support on Instagram with the hashtag #NoMore or to donate to the cause by purchasing t-shirts. There are easy ways to sign up to volunteer or get more information about how you can impact your local community. The site also features PSAs consisting of celebrities and public figures explaining the importance of getting involved in No More’s campaign. There are even videos of NFL players — athletes who have been far too familiar with the dangers of domestic violence this season — speaking about the issues.

No More Abuse

The most important section of No More’s site is the “Get Help Now” button, which gives victims of domestic violence or sexual assault the tools to take action. That button returns a list of the many hotlines that are available for victims of abuse. There’s also a smart feature built-in to No More’s home page, in which browsers can press the escape button to close the page and have Google open in a new tab. It’s unfortunate that victims of abuse would have to hide what they’re browsing on the Internet by using that function, but that’s the reality. No More exists to spread awareness of the terrible consequences of domestic violence, while working to change things at the same time.
