Changing the world seems like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to anymore.
Some people enjoy volunteering their time and efforts to help make the world a better place, but for many, donations to organizations of their choice is how they help change the world. Whether you’re volunteering time or donating money, a little bit can go a long way. With ‘Give 0.7‘ donating 0.7% of your monthly income goes to an organization of your choice goes a long way to help build a world where basic human essentials are available to everyone. A little bit each month can help a lot in the long run.
In the 1970’s Western Governments would give 0.7% of their wealth to developing countries to help put an end to extreme poverty and boost economic growth. While many poorer nations are becoming richer and some wealthier nations are becoming poorer, it has shown that the gift of 0.7% no matter the size has a great impact. Not only are individuals donating part of their monthly income, but sports clubs, businesses and countries are as well. FC Barcelona has been giving 0.7% of the club’s income to support the United Nations Millennium Development Goals projects since 2006. Google gives a percentage of their profits to fund the development of environmental, conservation, youth, educational and other international relief efforts. In 2013, the United Kingdom Government contributed 0.7% of its national income in aid which totaled to £11.4 billion. Just by donating 0.7%, we can change the world together and create a better one.
