Incredible Things – If you have a few spare minutes, check this entry in our Weekly Faves out. It’s a fun site, whose dedicated staff scour the depths of the web to bring you strange or unusual products (pretty much like we do at allmyfaves.com to bring you all the coolest & most unique internet content!). The products range through all the popular categories, like tech, toys and fashion; although I personally really enjoyed the “Incredible Gift Guide”, which picks out some rather interesting products for you to bring to your next dinner party instead of the usual bottle of wine or chocolates! Click the pic to have a browse around…
Laundry Day – Here’s a fun, free flash game for you guys. It’s a skill game this week, where you manage your own launderette, keeping up with all your customers’ orders and running the shop on time. Make sure to get the dry cleaning, ready and ironed to the delivery truck on time to avoid disaster! Click here or on the pic to play π
Quiz Factor – Now who doesn’t like a good quiz. I know my friends already addicted to online quiz site and weekly fave alumnus Sporcle definitely do; and well Quiz Factor is simply a fun, free addition to the online quiz world, with added tricky timing twists… It’s got a quiz for anything, from Harry Potter Trivia to Guessing the real names of Actors. Which makes it good in my books!
Quiz Factor’s added value really comes out in the social side of the site: You can compare your scores on the community leaderboards, and you also have the opportunity to enter into some great prize draws just for playing and getting a few correct answers! Click here or on the preview pic below to get your trivia head on and play some fun, free quizzes.
I love Lady Gaga. I want to watch all of her concerts. Unfortunately, I’m invariably either too poor or too far away to actually go to them. But now these inconvenient truths no longer matter, because I have Switchcam!

“No Learning Requred”. That’s the mantra that Bellstrike – a super little site allowing you to create and maintain a gorgeous, professional website for your NPO in minutes – is sticking to fervently. And it’s true as well. If you’ve started up your own non-profit, but are dreading having to create a big website, hire designers, talk with servers and other unspoken horrors, I can’t think of a better way to get yourself out there than with a Bellstrike site! Watch the video to see how it could help you.
The sign up and set up is completely free, there’s no monthly fees, and you’ll only be paying for the site if it brings in donations. They take 6% of the online donations you make, and it’s capped at $80 a month, so you’ll never be giving them more than that. Pretty reasonable really! Click here if you’re interested in the idea, or if you’re running a non-profit and could do with a better, free website, that allows you to instantly accept online credit card donations, and spread the word on all the usual social networks.
Now speaking of charity, I couldn’t possibly talk about a site for non-profits without mentioning The All My Faves Visual NPO Database. It’s got all the top US Non-Profits, listed in their individual categories, making it easy for you to find interesting causes to donate to, research or volunteer for. Click here to get acquainted with some great causes on AllMyFaves NPO.
It’s video chat. It’s Facebook. And no it’s not the Skype-Facebook tie up that’s been hyped up for the past few months, only to turn out to be one of the biggest damp squibs since Barack Obama’s first Presidential term. Folks, this is Rounds, and it’s actually fun!
More than just a simple video call, which you can do on regular Skype or Facetime (if, unlike me, you’re lucky enough to own a new iPhone!), Rounds recognizes that when you’re on Facebook, you’re not just interested in simply talking. You’re probably also looking at Youtube videos; you’re playing a free online game; or you’re checking out what your friends have been up to recently (“stalking” for those of you unfamiliar with the Facebook lingo!).
And they’ve come up with a really lovely idea: to allow you to video chat to your friends, and at the same time, share a mini-window allowing you to co-browse all those things together. So you literally can play a game together with one of your friends, while video chatting, on the same screen, on Facebook! Watch the video below to see some of the latest multiplayer games you can play on Video Chat Rounds:

Liking the look of this? I know we are at All My Faves. Click here to get started playing free multiplayer games with your friends on Facebook with Rounds.
The Museum of Obsolete Objects – Did you ever think that the floppy disk was the most amazing thing you’d ever seen? Come on now, own up, I know at least some of you did! I never did, but then according to this clever Youtube channel, I was only 7 years old when it became obsolete!
The Museum is a stylish, sci-fi style selection of videos “from the future”; narrated by a strange, computerized character that talks about objects that have apparently become obsolete with time and innovation. Objects like radios, tapes and calculators. I did say apparently! So get your sci fi head on, watch the video below, and then click here to go to the Museum of Obsolete Objects.
Here’s our Weekly Fave, Game of the Week: Kingdom Rush! If strategy games are your thing, try this one out, you’ll love it! We do π
Description: The kingdom is under attack! Defend your realm against hordes of orcs, trolls, evil wizards and other nasty fiends; armed with a mighty arsenal of warriors and mages of your own!
Instructions: Use the mouse to build towers and attack incoming enemies and stop them from getting past your defenses.
Now I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely not the only average Joe who made a New Years’ Resolution this year, and doesn’t actually believe they’re going to keep it! Stickk knows guys and girls like us… and it loves us! It’s basically a helpful planner to help you stick to a commitment you’ve decided to make, whether it be to quit smoking, lose weight (or gain it), or even to give time volunteering.
The clever part however, is what comes after you select your commitment. You get support through a referee and support from friends, and then set the stakes for failing to meet your commitment. This can be anything from giving money to a friend or foe, a random charity, or even donating to a non-profit you hate… What better motivation to keep to your New Years Resolution than to know that you’ll have to give money to the George W. Bush Presidential Library if you fail!? Click here or the pic below to find out more!
Moving apartments can be one of the most painful, stressful things you can do, and that’s coming from my current personal experience! Most of my friends also sharing such experiences haven’t heard of ApartmentList, and even right now, are probably undertaking the thankless task of trawling through grainy pictures from shady profiles on Craigslist. But thanks to this All My Faves discovery, their apartment search is about to get a whole lot easier!
ApartmentList is the self-proclaimed βworldβs first apartment matching engineβ: a free service designed to help you find the perfect apartment by using Facebook integration to automatically personalize apartment recommendations, based on yours and your friends’ activities. It asks you questions to narrow down your type of lifestyle to the area and type of apartment you may want, and then sends you the recommendations from its huge database of over 1 million listings. Nifty or what! Give ApartmentList a try by clicking on the pic below, or here.
This is one of the yummiest looking sites I’ve seen in a while. Hot on the heels of All My Faves’ Tastiest Food Site of the Year 2011, Punchfork, comes a potential nominee for 2012’s: PictureTheRecipe. It’s a blog-hybrid site, lovingly crafted by a lady called Noreen, who calls herself “the ultimate foodie”. And from the site’s positively mouthwatering homepage, featuring the latest visual recipes; “Food4Thought” – interesting articles about food; and some useful cooking tips, you can really tell that food is her passion. Click on the picture below, or here, to get a flavor for this great food site.
Words and Physics is quite surprisingly a neat game featuring words and physics. A truly original take on physics games played out over 18 levels. Solve the puzzles by deleting or typing physics commands. It’s a good coffee break puzzler, click here or the big picture to have a go.
