Quiz Factor – Now who doesn’t like a good quiz. I know my friends already addicted to online quiz site and weekly fave alumnus Sporcle definitely do; and well Quiz Factor is simply a fun, free addition to the online quiz world, with added tricky timing twists… It’s got a quiz for anything, from Harry Potter Trivia to Guessing the real names of Actors. Which makes it good in my books!

Quiz Factor’s added value really comes out in the social side of the site: You can compare your scores on the community leaderboards, and you also have the opportunity to enter into some great prize draws just for playing and getting a few correct answers! It’s video chat. It’s Facebook. And no it’s not the Skype-Facebook tie up that’s been hyped up for the past few months, only to turn out to be one of the biggest damp squibs since Barack Obama’s first Presidential term. Folks, this is Rounds, and it’s actually fun!

More than just a simple video call, which you can do on regular Skype or Facetime (if, unlike me, you’re lucky enough to own a new iPhone!), Rounds recognizes that when you’re on Facebook, you’re not just interested in simply talking. You’re probably also looking at Youtube videos; you’re playing a free online game; or you’re checking out what your friends have been up to recently (“stalking” for those of you unfamiliar with the Facebook lingo!).

And they’ve come up with a really lovely idea: to allow you to video chat to your friends, and at the same time, share a mini-window allowing you to co-browse all those things together. So you literally can play a game together with one of your friends, while video chatting, on the same screen, on Facebook! If you’re a fan of independent (Indie) music, then you’re really going to dig WeListenForYou. This reviews & opinions blog is as fiercely independent as the music it introduces you to. It’s well presented, and gives you some interesting reads, good tracks and new, unique artists.

I-Escape is an online travel agent with a difference. It’s pretty much a travel magazine, packed full of guides to some of the World’s most interesting and inspiring destinations, on which you can then make bookings directly if you’re feeling adventurous.

If you already think you waste too much time looking at funny stuff on the internet… probably best to look away now! From the makers of one of our fave coffee break sites of 2011, Attack of the Cute, comes I Waste So Much Time, which aims to show you funny pictures + videos, and let you rate them. And that’s it.

It’s simple. You go on the site, look at funny pictures or videos and interact with them, clicking on one of three buttons underneath (“Awesome”, “What the What!?”, or “Boring”). The Museum of Obsolete Objects – Did you ever think that the floppy disk was the most amazing thing you’d ever seen? Come on now, own up, I know at least some of you did! I never did, but then according to this clever Youtube channel, I was only 7 years old when it became obsolete!

The Museum is a stylish, sci-fi style selection of videos “from the future”; narrated by a strange, computerized character that talks about objects that have apparently become obsolete with time and innovation.
