TimesMachine – Extra Extra read all about it, The New York Times has launched a new time machine. Well, not an actual time machine but the feeling is similar. The TimesMachine can take you back to any issue from Volume 1, Number 1 of The New-York Daily Times, on September 18, 1851, through The New York Times of December 30, 1922. Choose a date in history and flip electronically through the pages, displayed with their original look and feel. At the moment the site offers free access only to a sample of issues, full access is available only to home delivery subscribers. I am feeling nostalgic, do you remember The Time Tunnel?
SoSauce – Is it photo sharing? Is it travel blogging? Is it a fun arena? It’s Sosauce! Sosauce is a place for enthusiasts. DailyLit – As the internet was born my mother couldn’t stop exclaiming “email is the best invention ever” and as a fact the only thing we do more consistently than read the paper is read email. DailyLit takes advantage of the time and frequency we spend checking our email in order to educate and entertain us. Choose a book from a bank of titles (750 classic and contemporary books). Every Person – This guy is absolutely crazy, he claims that he is trying to draw every person in New York. Will he succeed? I doubt it. However, the idea is nice and the sketches are not bad. I assure you the next time I visit NYC, I am going to check this guy and his real intentions. Craziness Rules!
Dirk Valentine – In this game your goal is to save the world from the evil Baron Battenberg. You run around a “steam fortress” with a cannon that can shoot bad guys as well as connect to certain surfaces to serve as a ladder to climb up. This is a perfect time waster. Enjoy!
