Happiness Only Real When Shared!

MySpace Music – When it comes to community hubs, my vote usually goes to Facebook because it’s the one I think offers the most user-friendly and intuitive platform. Having that said, the new MySpace Music is a great feature and Facebook has yet to offer a similar application. MySpace Music is divided into tabs and links, it features shows in your area, classifieds related to music, music videos, and my personal favorite – My Music. With My Music you can search and listen to almost any song by typing the track’s title or artist’s name. Another way to find your fave music is by viewing playlists created by your chosen artists (some of my faves are Yahel, Moby and Lykke Li). The songs you find can then be added to your personal playlists and displayed on your profile. The idea of creating an online playlist isn’t exactly new, so what is all the buzz about? The quality and the variety of music are superb when compared to other online playlist providers. In addition, MySpace has teamed up with major record companies so it’s totally legal and kosher. I love blip.fm (a similar online playlist community hub) for its appealing user interface although it has two major downsides: the songs don’t always stream fluidly and blip.fm‘s overall variety of music is quite limited. I think that a marriage between MySpace and Blip.fm would produce a powerful result that has the best of both worlds. This way we, the users, will receive free online streaming music that could be easily shared with our community. Let’s be honest: MySpace isn’t fun for either your personal usage or for sharing. Happiness only real when shared. You feel me?

Gyminee – Staying fit or losing weight is a challenging task which requires consistency, perfection and a good word from someone close. Gyminee, a fitness social network, combines all of the above aspects. It provides you with online tools to effortlessly track your weight, waist size, cardio, weight-lifting or any other fitness activities you take up. You can view detailed graphs that show the progress of your exercises and specific goals. Remember that keeping a detailed exercise and diet log is one of the best ways to stay motivated towards achieving a healthier lifestyle. And the best part is that you can make new GymBuddies who will congratulate you when you are doing well and give you a helping hand when you feel like you’re starting to lag behind. Nothing beats a little help from a friend.

Obsessable – Obsessable’s mission is to provide expert information and insight on the products (cell phones, cameras and HDTVs) and technologies that we all use on a daily basis. Obsessable claims that their editors, writers and contributors live and breathe consumer electronics. They use it, test it, turn it up, turn it down, play it, push and pull all of the buttons and knobs. It seems that they are indeed obsessed :-).

Slashfood – Slashfood is a food blog with a twist. You won’t find here common recipes or boring food articles. It is all about creative cooking and creating an interesting lifestyle based on food. No traditional boundaries. Just a global mix of techniques, ingredients and flavors; some are quite outrageous, some exotic, and some are just plain silly. Most people won’t find this information very practical but I can assure you that if you have a desire for food you will find this blog to be the mother of all temptations. If you need something sumptuous and impressive you should start here. It is said that appetite starts with a look, so feast your eyes –  feeling hungry?

Project 10100 -Have you ever thought to yourself, “if I just had the money I would have changed the world, would have made it a better place, I would have succeed in places where the governments around the world have failed”? Well, Google has committed $10 million towards implementing the best submitted ideas that will change our world for the better. Here’s a little of what they’re looking for: Community: How can we help connect people, build communities and protect unique cultures? Opportunity: How can we help people better provide for themselves and their families? Energy: How can we help move the world toward safe, clean, inexpensive energy? Environment: How can we help promote a cleaner and more sustainable global ecosystem? Health: How can we help individuals lead longer, healthier lives? Education: How can we help more people get more access to better education? Shelter: How can we help ensure that everyone has a safe place to live? Everything else: Sometimes the best ideas don’t fit into any category at all. Put your thinking helmets on and get to work. The world’s future depends on you.

Umbrella Today? – Need an umbrella today? Enter your zip code and find out. Answers range from NO to YES – as simple as that. Want updated reports straight to your cell? If keeping dry is what you aim for, submit Umbrealla Today? your cell number and they will text message you on days where you’ll need an umbrella. Writers remark – I personally prefer sunny days “When the sun shines, we’ll shine together“.

The OutBreak DISCLAIMER: The following site contains profanity and violent material which may not be suitable for all audiences. Why are disclaimers always placed on the bottom? Shouldn’t they appear on the top, advising the audience of explicit content? If you are still interested (and not afraid of blood and zombies) then The Outbreak is for you. The Outbreak is an interactive movie. At certain points of the movie you will be prompted to make a choice – these choices will determine your survival.. I probably won’t survive in face of the zombies; I tried to help but unfortunately found myself dead time after time. Want more zombies? Check out Lost Zombies.

ONEXPOSURE – Onexposure is an artproject and a photo community with an edge. Pick the most talented photo-bloggers of the web, add famous photographers and numerous serious amateurs, select their best work and put it all in one place – and there you have it: Onexposure. Onexposure is like an ever-evolving first class photo gallery where new art is displayed on a daily basis. The idea of Onexposure is to create a collection of some of the most beautiful photos in the world. Are they successful at achieving this target? I believe so. It was hard choosing my faves since I found all of the photos to be gorgeous. However, after hours of admiring many artworks, these are my faves: Odd one out, Brainwashed, Pylone and Walking the fields. Try shuffling, it is the best way to taste a little bit of everything. Enjoy!

Pointer – Guide your mouse through each level while avoiding the walls and other obstacles. Drag your mouse pointer from S to E without touching the lines. Simple and fun. The goal is to beat the game in less than 5 minutes? Can’t touch this!
