The Death Of A Conversation

Death of a conversationBefore instant messaging, social media platforms, e-mail and smart phones were a thing, people would sit down and have conversations with one another. We used to write letters, sit down and have a cup of coffee, call someone and have someone else take our pictures on vacation. I’m part of a generation where I still remember what it was like to not have computers in the classroom, when students learned to talk to others and use encyclopedias for research more than Google. It’s not just people younger than me, though, older adults are dismissing the art form of verbal communication. While technology and smart phones do help us in a lot of ways, it’s nice to sit down and just talk with someone and hear how their day went. These cartoons will show just how serious of a problem this no conversation world we live in is. They may seem funny, but realistically they’re not. Enjoy these and more, but remember to put your phone down every once in a while too.
